ADHD Assessment for Child

If your child frequently struggles with attention, impulsivity, hyperactivity, or has difficulty with focus and behaviour at home or school, it may be worth exploring an ADHD assessment. Common signs include trouble following instructions, restlessness, emotional outbursts, and academic challenges.

We assess children typically from age 7 and up, as this is when consistent behavioural patterns become clearer and school-related concerns often emerge. If you’re unsure whether your child is the right age for assessment, our team can advise you during an initial consultation.

We offer both online and face-to-face ADHD assessments for children. Online assessments are conducted securely via video consultation and follow the same rigorous clinical standards as in-person appointments, offering flexibility and convenience for families.

Following the assessment, you’ll receive a feedback call with the results. If a diagnosis of ADHD is made, we provide a full written report along with recommendations for support. You’ll also have the option to schedule follow-up appointments, including medication reviews if appropriate.

The full process typically takes 2-4 weeks from booking to receiving your child’s diagnostic report. The assessment itself involves one comprehensive appointment, followed by a feedback call. This ensures you get timely answers and support without long NHS waiting times.

Yes, all our assessments are conducted by qualified clinicians following NICE guidelines. The written diagnostic report you receive can be used to support school-based interventions, educational support plans (such as EHCPs), and medical treatment decisions with your GP or paediatrician.
