YOUR ADHD JOURNEY
Our patient journey has been carefully designed to provide a comprehensive, step-by-step approach to diagnosing, treating, and supporting individuals with ADHD.
BOOK IN FOR AN ASSESSMENT
To discuss your Adult ADHD assessment, please get in touch with our clinic via telephone or email. You can also book your ADHD assessment by clicking here.

INITIAL SCREENING
You will complete rating scales and questionnaires to evaluate your ADHD symptoms and their impact. An assessment fee will be charged only if you pass this initial screening.

PRELIMINARY PAPERWORK
Before your ADHD assessment, we will require you to complete our pre-assessment paperwork, which we will send to you once your payment has been received. This paperwork must be completed by you and an informant. It includes a series of questionnaires that delve into your medical history, sleep patterns, mood, substance use, and current observations, such as blood pressure, pulse, height, and weight. Completing this stage ensures that we have a comprehensive understanding of your needs and circumstances.

THE ADHD ASSESSMENT
A specialist ADHD clinician will conduct a comprehensive assessment face to face or via video conference, lasting between 90 to 120 minutes. This assessment will cover a range of topics, including symptom onset, impact, developmental history, educational background, family history, and other relevant factors.
If you choose to have your assessment via video conference, you will receive the link via email. At the time of your appointment, simply click the link to connect with your clinician.

FEEDBACK CALL
The feedback call involves a telephone conversation in which your clinician will inform you whether you have been diagnosed with ADHD. If you receive a diagnosis, treatment options will be discussed, including medication.

RECEIVE YOUR REPORT
Within 7 working days of your ADHD feedback appointment, you will receive a written report via email. This report will include the clinical diagnosis and, if applicable, a proposed treatment plan.

ADHD TREATMENT
The suitability of medication will be assessed during an initial medication review consultation, with follow-up appointments scheduled each month to monitor treatment and adjust the medication dosage as necessary. Medications will be prescribed via private prescription and delivered through recorded delivery.
We are committed to working with you to ensure that your ADHD treatment is personalized and optimized to meet your specific needs.

SHARED-CARE
Our goal is to stabilize your treatment, which can take at least three months to achieve. Being stable and optimized means that your ADHD will be well managed, with the medication and dosage providing the desired therapeutic benefits while minimizing side effects. Once stability is achieved, we will aim to transition your care to your GP through a shared care agreement. If your GP accepts this arrangement, you will be able to request repeat prescriptions directly from them each month. However, please be aware that there is no guarantee that your GP will agree to shared care, as they have the right to refuse.

ONGOING CARE
At Neuroaffinity, we are here to provide ongoing support whenever you need it. We schedule annual reviews to ensure that your treatment remains optimized for your needs.
