ADHD Assessment Birmingham

At NeuroAffinity, we provide fast, expert-led ADHD assessments near Birmingham for adults and children, helping you make sense of how neurodiversity impacts you.

Whether you’ve suspected ADHD for years or are only now considering it as a possibility, our experienced clinicians offer a supportive, non-judgmental space to explore your concerns.

We deliver practical recommendations and reassurance using trusted NICE guidelines, so you can trust us to deliver an accurate diagnosis the first time around.

Why choose a private ADHD assessment near Birmingham?

Wait times for an ADHD diagnosis with the NHS can be as long as 19 months for children, and they don’t get that much shorter for adults.

We don’t think it’s fair to have to wait months to get answers. As such, when you come to us for private ADHD assessments near Birmingham, you can expect the following:

Adult ADHD assessment

As many as 2.5 million people in the UK have ADHD, according to recent Government data. If you suspect this could be you, then you aren’t alone.

A diagnosis helps you make sense of your behaviour and how neurodivergence plays a part in it. Plus, once diagnosed, you can get access to bespoke support to help manage your symptoms better.

Our adult ADHD assessment near Birmingham gives you the answers you need, as well as bespoke support recommendations.

Child ADHD assessments

Studies suggest that around 5 in every 100 children have ADHD. However, with lengthy waiting lists, those figures could actually be higher.

An ADHD diagnosis is crucial for anyone, but for children, it grants them access to essential support in school. Once diagnosed, you can apply for both SENCO and SEND support for your child to help make education that bit easier.

Our child ADHD assessments near Birmingham are compassionate to ensure their comfort every step of the way.

What’s included in an ADHD assessment?

Our private ADHD assessments near Birmingham follow a six-step plan, using industry-standard guidelines to get fast, accurate results.
01

Initial screening

The first step is to fill out our rating scales and questionnaires to assess the potential ADHD symptoms and how they affect your life. You’ll only be charged an assessment fee if you pass this initial stage.
02

Additional background information

With your consent, we’ll send forms to your family members, friends or partners to help us build a complete picture of your history and symptoms.
03

Clinical interview

One of our specialist ADHD clinicians will conduct a thorough assessment covering symptom onset, developmental history, education, family background, and other relevant factors. Approximately 90 to 120 minutes.
04

Psychological testing

In some cases, additional testing, such as a QB Check, may be recommended to measure attention and cognitive functioning. We only recommend this in certain circumstances. As it comes with an additional fee, we’ll contact you before arranging the check.
05

Diagnostic decision

With all the information collected, your clinician will now determine whether you meet DSM-5 criteria – the standard used to diagnose ADHD. After this, we’ll arrange a separate feedback appointment to discuss the results.
06

Receive your report

Within 7 working days of your feedback session, you’ll receive a detailed written report by email. This will confirm your diagnosis and, if applicable, outline your personalised treatment plan.

ADHD assessment Birmingham pricing

When you’re considering a private ADHD assessment, we know that finances can be a concern. We believe diagnosis should be as smooth as possible, which is why we’re always transparent about our fees.

Please note: In more complex cases, our Specialist Clinician may need to seek advice from the Consultant Psychiatrist. This could potentially delay your report beyond the standard 7 working days. Should this happen, we’ll keep you updated on new completion dates.

ADHD assessment fees

Please note: that if the Specialist Clinician considers your case to be complex during the assessment, they may need additional information or seek advice from the Consultant Psychiatrist. This could potentially delay your report beyond the standard 7 working days.

Where do I start, I’ve had such a positive experience with Neuroaffinity, it can be hard to find support that genuinely understands your needs, but I felt listened to and understood from the start and the whole experience helped me gain a better understanding of myself and gave me more confidence. Honestly I’m really grateful for the support I received and would highly recommend this service to anyone looking for understanding, neurodivergent-friendly support. ❤️

We’re really pleased with the care and support we have received from Shehzad and his team. Everyone has been friendly, welcoming, and never made us feel rushed. The information and guidance provided throughout the process were very helpful and helped us better understand our daughter’s diagnosis. Shehzad took the time to answer our questions and make sense of the diagnosis. We felt listened to, supported, and treated with genuine care throughout. We’re very grateful for the service we received and would highly recommend them to other families seeking support.

I would gladly recommend this service. My son had been waiting 4 years for an assessment and we went back and forth with the GP. The assessment was easy to book and done smoothly with baring in mind the conditions of my child. Detailed questions and answers which have supported me in getting support for my child at school including a support plan. This assessment has also made my life easier when repeating details for my son of his conditions.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an ADHD assessment for my child with Neuro Affinity and had a very positive experience from start to finish. The team were professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive throughout the process. They took the time to listen carefully, explain everything clearly, and made both myself and my child feel comfortable and understood. The assessment was thorough and conducted with great care and sensitivity. We left with a much clearer understanding of our child's needs and felt reassured by the guidance and support provided. As a parent, it was such a relief to feel heard and to have our concerns taken seriously. I would highly recommend Neuro Affinity to any family seeking an ADHD assessment or support. Thank you to the team for your kindness, professionalism, and dedication.
