At Neuroaffinity, we offer high-quality autism assessments for adults across the UK, online and in person. If you’ve always felt “different,” struggled with social interactions, sensory overload, or maintaining routines and relationships, you may be wondering if autism could be the reason.
Our team of HCPC-registered clinicians provides compassionate, evidence-based adult assessments for autism designed to bring clarity and support, no matter where you are in life.
Many people reach adulthood without ever receiving an autism diagnosis. Some may have spent years masking their traits, being misdiagnosed with anxiety or depression, or simply feeling misunderstood.
An assessment for autism in adults can offer important validation and a clearer understanding of yourself, your needs, and your strengths.
Choosing a private autism assessment for adults with Neuroaffinity means:
Whether you’re seeking a diagnosis for personal insight, workplace accommodations, or mental health support, your reason is valid, and we’re here to help.
Our autism assessments for adults in the UK follow a clear, clinically rigorous process, while staying supportive and neurodiversity-affirming:
You’ll complete rating scales and questionnaires to evaluate autism symptoms and their impact. An assessment fee is charged only if you pass this initial screening.
Additional details may be gathered from family members or partners to gain a complete understanding of your symptoms.
A specialist autism clinician will conduct a clinical assessment through a face-to-face consultation or via a video conference, which will last between 60 and 90 minutes. For adults, it is beneficial if a family member who has known them since childhood can be present during this assessment.
A second face-to-face or video conference will be conducted, during which our specialists will observe how you interact in various settings. They will assess important aspects of communication, social skills, and repetitive behaviours. This evaluation may involve assessment tools like the ADOS-2 and can last up to 90 minutes.
Based on the gathered information, a diagnostic decision will be made according to the criteria from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5). This will be done at a separate feedback appointment.
Within 7 working days of your autism feedback appointment, you will receive a written report by email. This report will include the clinical diagnosis and, if applicable, a proposed treatment plan.

Where do I start, I’ve had such a positive experience with Neuroaffinity, it can be hard to find support that genuinely understands your needs, but I felt listened to and understood from the start and the whole experience helped me gain a better understanding of myself and gave me more confidence. Honestly I’m really grateful for the support I received and would highly recommend this service to anyone looking for understanding, neurodivergent-friendly support. ❤️Posted on Google Home Ed With MummyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I would gladly recommend this service. My son had been waiting 4 years for an assessment and we went back and forth with the GP. The assessment was easy to book and done smoothly with baring in mind the conditions of my child. Detailed questions and answers which have supported me in getting support for my child at school including a support plan. This assessment has also made my life easier when repeating details for my son of his conditions.Posted on Google Maya ATrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The team were professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive throughout the process. They took the time to listen carefully, explain everything clearly, and made both myself and my child feel comfortable and understood. The assessment was thorough and conducted with great care and sensitivity. We left with a much clearer understanding of our child's needs and felt reassured by the guidance and support provided. As a parent, it was such a relief to feel heard and to have our concerns taken seriously. I would highly recommend Neuro Affinity to any family seeking an ADHD assessment or support.
