Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder affecting the brain’s regulation, impulse control, and energy levels.
ADHD presents in three different ways – predominantly inattentive, predominantly hyperactive-impulsive, and combined. While it’s typically diagnosed in childhood, symptoms do continue throughout adulthood.
Wait times for an ADHD assessment on the NHS are long across the UK – Wolverhampton is no exception.
However, when you go private, you can skip the waiting lists to get your diagnosis faster. And the best part? With our private ADHD assessments near Wolverhampton, you won’t compromise on quality of care either.
We provide all of our clients with the following benefits when they come to us for an ADHD diagnosis:
Data from GP records across the UK show that less than 1% of people with ADHD actually have a diagnosis. So, if you feel this could be you, then you aren’t alone.
Undiagnosed ADHD can make your professional and personal life feel harder than it needs to be. With a private assessment, you get a quick, accurate diagnosis and access to bespoke support.
Our adult ADHD assessments near Wolverhampton help you understand how neurodivergence impacts your life.
In the UK, an estimated 741,000 children and young people have ADHD, according to the NHS.
Going through adolescence is often a tricky time as it is, but when you add in undiagnosed, unsupported ADHD, it can feel even harder. With a diagnosis, your child can get access to personalised SEND support to help school feel more manageable.
Our child ADHD assessment near Wolverhampton gives your child the answers and care they need to make the most of childhood and education.
We use the same DSM-5 and NICE guidelines as the NHS, so you’re not compromising on accuracy when you come to us. Explore our approach to ADHD assessment below.
First, we’ll send you a questionnaire and sliding scale to fill out. These forms help us build a base of how ADHD might be impacting you. We won’t charge you for this unless you progress past this initial stage.
Next, we’ll get your permission to speak to friends and family about your behaviour and history to start filling out a more detailed picture of your diagnosis.
With the background information collected, the next step is to speak to you either in person or via a video call. One of our specialist ADHD clinicians will ask about symptom onset, developmental history, education, family, and background. Approximately 90-120 minutes.
In some cases, we may need to carry out additional testing to ensure we’re getting the most accurate results for you. Known as a QB check, this is an optional addition with separate fees looking into attention and cognitive function.
Now we’ve gathered all the necessary information, your clinician will assess their findings against DSM-5 criteria for ADHD. Once we have a result, we’ll invite you back for a feedback appointment.
Within 7 working days of your diagnostic meeting, we’ll send you an email report containing all our findings, as well as your personalised treatment plan suggestion.
We know private ADHD assessments come with additional financial costs that can be daunting for some. As such, we’re always upfront about what to expect when you come to us.
Please note: In more complex cases, our Specialist Clinicians may need to seek advice from a Consultant Psychiatrist. In these instances, reports may be delayed past 7 working days. We will always keep you informed.
Please note: that if the Specialist Clinician considers your case to be complex during the assessment, they may need additional information or seek advice from the Consultant Psychiatrist. This could potentially delay your report beyond the standard 7 working days.
Travelling to an in-person ADHD assessment near Wolverhampton isn’t always possible for everyone, which is why we offer online assessments, too.
Whether it’s timing issues or sensory sensitivities making an in-person assessment difficult, you can come to us for an online test that’s just as fast and accurate. We’ll conduct our assessment via a secure video link to protect your data and privacy.
Does an online assessment sound more suited to you? Give our friendly team a call to book a slot that works for you and your schedule.

I would gladly recommend this service. My son had been waiting 4 years for an assessment and we went back and forth with the GP. The assessment was easy to book and done smoothly with baring in mind the conditions of my child. Detailed questions and answers which have supported me in getting support for my child at school including a support plan. This assessment has also made my life easier when repeating details for my son of his conditions.Posted on Google Maya ATrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
